Nusa Lembongan might only be 8 square km, but we were honestly surprised by how good the food scene is. We expected a few beach cafes and the usual Bali warungs, but ended up finding some of our favourite meals from our whole Indonesia trip. If you’re only visiting for a few days (like most people), the number of options can feel a bit overwhelming – especially when Google Maps reviews all look the same. So we’ve pulled together our personal picks for the best restaurants in Nusa Lembongan for breakfast/brunch, all-day casual dining and dinner.
Whether you’re here for smoothie bowls or spicy curries, you’ll be glad to know you won’t be limited to nasi goreng on repeat – though you’ll probably end up ordering that at some point too!
Where to Eat Breakfast in Nusa Lembongan
Bali Eco Deli
Bali Eco Deli is one of our favourite restaurants in Nusa Lembongan for breakfast. If you’re feeling like a healthy one, this is the place to be. They have a huge selection of smoothies, salads, healthy Asian dishes as well as the classics like avo on toast.

We loved that this eco-conscious restaurant is powered mainly by solar energy and has set up its own recycling programme that ships recyclables from Nusa Lembongan to Bali, helping to tackle the problem of where to put rubbish on a tiny island with limited land space.
When to go: Come early morning if you want a quieter experience – it fills up with day trippers by late breakfast.
What we’d recommend ordering: Their pancakes were so delicious and the avo toast hits the spot every time.

Let’s Bake
Yes, another bakery has made it onto our list of favourite restaurants in Nusa Lembongan. Let’s Bake is something more like you’d find in Uluwatu or the busier areas of Bali. If you’re looking for a place to work from, then here would be a great choice as well as they have a big seating area indoors with AC.
Let’s talk about the food. The menu here is bigger than Jungle Bakery, with a wide selection of freshly-made sandwiches, bagels, pastries and much more. You can see and smell all the fresh pastries as soon as you walk in too, it’s so good! If you’re looking for a bigger breakfast or brunch, then we’d suggest here over Jungle Bakery.

When to go: If you’re hungry for a big sandwich or fresh pastries, or if you want to get some work done in AC.
What we’d recommend ordering: Go for their sandwiches and banana bread!
Jungle Bakery
We weren’t expecting to find an artisan French bakery when we arrived in Lembongan! But it was definitely a nice surprise. If you’re looking to pick up a quick breakfast or snack, we really rate this place. The menu is relatively small, but everything is freshly baked and all looks divine. You’ll get classic artisan pastries like croissants as well as croque madame, croque monsieur and quiches. But if you’re looking for something more ‘Bali’ they have smoothie bowls and avo on toast too.
The decor somehow mixes that of a Parisian cafe and a quirky outdoor Bali cafe. It’s a cute spot, right on the main street in Jungutbatu and we definitely recommend stopping here.
What we’d recommend ordering: We loved the croque madame and couldn’t stop thinking about the quiche!
Our Favorite All-Day Restaurants in Nusa Lembongan
Ginger & Jamu
Ginger & Jamu is one of the most popular and recommended beachfront bars and restaurants in Nusa Lembongan. If you want to spend the day at the beach while having access to some amazing food and drinks, then you won’t go wrong with Ginger & Jamu. The great thing about this place is there is plenty of shade from a couple of palm trees and the giant umbrella that covers their outdoor seating area.
Their menu is vast, and they have lots of healthy options as well as vegan and vegetarian. We didn’t actually eat here, but all the food we saw looked super tasty and it was hard to avoid the temptation of ordering. However, we did get some cold fresh coconuts, which were the perfect antidote to the early afternoon sun.

What we’d recommend ordering: COCONUTS! 🥥 (we didn’t eat here, but if we go back, we’re making a beeline for the power salads).
Ombak Cafe
In the 5 days we spent in Nusa Lembongan, we visited Ombak Cafe three times! We absolutely loved it here, and it’s great for brunch, lunch or dinner. You’ll find Ombak Cafe on the northern side of Jungut Batu Beach, with beach chairs and bean bags on the sand – it’s a super relaxing spot to grab a fresh coconut and go for a swim.
This open-air space is as you’d expect from a Bali beach bar – incredibly chilled. Luckily, we happened to be around on a Monday night, which is their movie night. Once the sun has gone down, they put up a giant cinema screen on the beach and play an ocean-themed movie. We loved having our toes in the sand, sipping a cocktail, eating dinner and being able to watch a movie together too. It’s a fab place for a sunset dinner in Nusa Lembongan and you should definitely come here at least once.

When to go: Sunset on a Monday – that’s when they do their beach movie night and it’s just a vibe.
What we’d recommend ordering: Shaka bowl, smoothie bowls, avo toast, and their cocktails are super refreshing after a beach swim.
The Coconut Hut Mini Golf
Making a trip to The Coconut Hut Mini Golf is one of the best things to do in Nusa Lembongan. This 18-hole mini golf course with bar and restaurant is the perfect place to go for a fun meal, either during the day or at night. The menu is Western and a bit Tex-Mex, with burgers, hot dogs and tacos all on the menu. They also have a great selection of cocktails, beers and wines.
We rank it as one of the best places to eat in Nusa Lembongan because it makes for a great date night or evening of socialising. If an evening with a burger, cold beer, and mini golf sounds like a bit of you, then you have to come to The Coconut Hut. The mini golf course is actually inspired by famous Nusa Lembongan and Bali landmarks and Balinese culture with holes featuring the yellow bridge and Hindu gods and goddesses.

Sea Breeze Cafe – Nusa Ceningan
We’re cheating a bit with this recommendation because Sea Breeze Cafe is actually in Nusa Ceningan but because it’s just a short drive over the Yellow Bridge, we had to add it to the list of restaurants we recommend in Nusa Lembongan.
Even if you don’t come here for food, you have to make a stop at Sea Breeze. It’s one of the quirkiest places we’ve ever been to! The upstairs bar is shaped the a boat and downstairs you’ll find brightly decorated cabanas, swings and hammocks above the ocean.

It’s a lively vibe here and definitely worth stopping for at least a few drinks – that’s what we did. We had planned to eat here but couldn’t make time. However, our friends did and highly recommend it. Be warned though – it does get busy, especially during peak season, so you might want to make a reservation.
🎒 Book an island tour around Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan – a fun and easy way to see the best of both islands in just a day.
When to go: Come for a drink in the late afternoon when the light is perfect for photos (and swings).
What we’d recommend ordering: We only stopped for drinks, but our friends highly rated the seafood platter.
Where to Eat Dinner in Nusa Lembongan: Our Recommendations
Curry Traders
You probably wouldn’t think that we’d find possibly the best Indian food we’ve ever eaten on this tiny island – but we did. And you have to come here if you love Indian food too. Yes, it’s on the pricier side of what you get in Bali, but it’s 100% worth it.
We attempted to come here without a reservation and found the place fully booked, so made a reservation with friends the following night. Overall, we were blown away by the food and service. On the menu, you’ll find Indian street food, small dishes, traditional tandoori and a wide selection of curries – there really is something for everyone.
Of our four months travelling Bali, Curry Traders stands out as one of the most memorable meals we had – you won’t regret coming here!

When to go: Book in advance for dinner.
What we’d recommend ordering: We still dream about the tandoori chicken and the garlic naan. Start with a few street food-style starters if you’re in a group.
Acala Bar & Bistro
Acala brand themselves as an Italian seafood fusion, but they have a bit of everything. As you’d expect, pizza and pasta are on the menu, but you can also get Asian and Indonesian dishes, burgers and some tasty appetisers, including tacos, Caesar salads and more.
Although it’s an open-fronted restaurant that is lined by the main street on the island, this place is actually a really chilled environment and incredibly casual. We had dinner here, but it would also be a good spot for lunch too.
If you’re wondering where to eat in Nusa Lembongan without just defaulting to nasi goreng, this one is for you.
When to go: Early dinner if you want to grab a seat by the front as it’s great for people-watching.
What we’d recommend ordering: Their seafood pizza is really tasty!
Kayu Lembongan
The only way to describe Kayu is beautiful oasis! Even though it is on the main street, Kayu feels like you’ve stepped into the rainforest. Surrounded by a tall walled garden, you feel like you’ve been completely transported as soon as you step through the gate. To be honest, you could come here at any time of the day – it’s just that dinner was our favourite.

Their food and ingredients are sourced locally (where possible), with much of it being supplied from northern Bali. The menu is mouthwateringly good, and you’ll find it difficult to choose, but everything we tried was divine. Also, don’t miss their desserts – the caramel slice is delicious!

When to go: There’s a really nice atmosphere around dinner time, it feels really cosy and everyone’s enjoying good food and drinks.
What we’d recommend ordering: The caramel slice is non-negotiable. For mains, we’d go back for the burger!
Top Coffee Shops in Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Ceningan
The Nomad Bali – Nusa Ceningan
Although this place is in Nusa Ceningan, we have to let you know about it! This quirky coffee shop is set in a cool round building that looks more Moroccan than it does Balinese. The rustic, boho vibes and art make it such a calming space. If you love handmade hot drinks, then this is the place to be. Everything is made from scratch.
We asked for a chai tea, which they then began making their own blend there and then! And if you drink coffee, they have a huge selection of specialist coffee blends from around the world.

When to go: Any time in the day (closed Wednesdays and Fridays).
What we’d recommend ordering: Chai tea.
Mushroom Espresso
Another quirky coffee shop, but this time on Nusa Lembongan. They have a great selection of coffee, tea, juices and smoothies with a super-relaxed atmosphere. Mushroom Espresso is down the road from Mushroom Beach (one of the best beaches in Nusa Lembongan), so it can get a little busy here. We haven’t tried the food here but enjoyed our drinks, so it’s definitely worth a stop during a day of exploring.

When to go: Perfect for a slow start to your morning, it’s super chill inside and they have outdoor seating too.
What we’d recommend ordering: We loved the handmade healthy juices and wish we’d tried one of the food.
FAQs About Where to Eat in Nusa Lembongan
Is there good coffee in Nusa Lembongan?
Yes, way better than you’d expected, to be honest. Mushroom Espresso near Mushroom Beach would be our top pick on Lembongan itself and if you’re heading across the Yellow Bridge, The Nomad in Ceningan makes everything from scratch (we watched them mix their own chai blend). Most cafes use decent beans and offer plant based milk too.
Where can you eat all day in Nusa Lembongan?
Ombak Cafe is perfect for this – we ended up going there three times. You can rock up mid morning, grab a smoothie bowl, hang on a beanbag with a coconut and stay through dinner and movie night. Ginger & Jamu is another great option for all day beach food with healthy, Bali-style vibes.
Are there any vegan or vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Nusa Lembongan?
Definitely. Most menus cater for plant-based diets, especially local warungs and places like Ginger & Jamu, Bali Eco Deli and Ombak Cafe. Even spots that aren’t fully vegan usually have smoothie bowls, salads, rice, noodles and a few veggie mains.
Do you need to book restaurants on Nusa Lembongan?
Most places are super relaxed and don’t need a booking. But Curry Traders gets busy, we tried to walk in one night and couldn’t get a table. If you’ve got your heart set on somewhere for dinner, it’s worth reserving a day in advance, especially in high season.
What’s the food scene like on the island?
It’s way more varied than you might expect. Of course, there’s plenty of Indonesian food if that’s what you’re after – but you’ll also find everything from wood-fired pizza and Indian street food to smoothie bowls, French pastries and tacos. You won’t go hungry here.
