We’re Lauren & Jack, two creatives from the UK. We started laaurenjade (2022) out of our love for travel after leaving the UK on a one way flight back in 2021, and haven’t stopped travelling ever since.
Over the past 4 years, we’ve slow travelled our way through the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and beyond. We’ve lived on island time, climbed beautiful mountains, house-sat our way across continents and figured out how to make full-time travel our “normal”.
For years, we lived and worked in the UK, bought a house, started to “settle down”, but something wasn’t right. It didn’t set our souls on fire. It didn’t make us feel like we feel on a balmy tropical morning, or with the wind in our hair on an open road, or when discovering an unspoiled empty beach, or seeking out the best street food in an unfamiliar town…
This lifestyle has given us more freedom (and challenges) than we ever expected – but it’s also brought the kind of happiness that comes with designing life on our own terms. Through our blog and social channels, we share detailed destination guides, practical travel tips and hidden gems, so you can carve out your own meaningful travel experiences in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.

Hi, I am Lauren!
I grew up in the UK and spent the first part of my adulthood as a Lawyer. I continued to work remotely while we travelled until recently (2025), when I quit completely! I truly have now swapped clients and case files for beaches and backpacks.
I’m the planner, and I’m happiest when turning scribbled notes into itinerary planning, doing anything creative and arty and taking photos in beautiful places.
These days, I’m building a life around creating, photography and living an intentional kind of freedom.

Hi, I am Jack!
Before becoming a digital nomad, I was a marketing manager back in the UK. I’ve always loved writing (and will always prefer human written content in this ever-growing world of AI) and being able to express things using words.
My love for travel has gotten deeper the older I’ve got. I’m the calm to Lauren’s endless planning and always ready to say yes to the next adventure.
I also love free outdoor gyms, playing football and golf, street food and sushi.
The hardest thing about being on the road full time is not knowing if I’m going to find a good barber!

We met in October 2015 through a mutual friend. Within 3 months(!), we were living together (cute)
We’re pet people
We’ve house-sat in 7 different countries, looking after everything from island dogs to baby chicks!
24 countries together
We took our first trip together in January 2016 to Barcelona. Since then, we’ve been to 24 countries together!

Alongside our travel blog, Jack is a freelance specialist SEO copywriter, Lauren is a content creator and social media manager. We also love to save money travelling by housesitting and planning budget itineraries.
